At Project Pit, we are dedicated to creating impactful programming, events, and festivals that bring communities together. We believe that by connecting social impact with culture, we can foster inclusivity, promote equity, and drive meaningful change within our communities.

Project Pit:

Our Story:

Project Pit was born from grief and built on love. After losing his mother, our founder, Carlton, found himself in a dark place. Depression, addiction, and silence nearly took him under. But the support of friends, family, and therapy helped him climb out—and showed him just how many others were still trapped in their pits, with no one to call.

So he created Project Pit: a safe, healing space where no one has to suffer in silence. We serve Los Angeles’s underserved communities with compassion, creativity, and consistency through festivals, mental health support, and moments of real connection.

No one should have to heal alone. At Project Pit,

We Rise Together.

Our work centers on community engagement, education, and cultural empowerment. By connecting social impact with culture, we foster inclusivity, advance equity, and drive meaningful change through cross-sector collaboration.

We believe in the power of our communities.

Our Approach:

Who we Serve:

We stand with LGBTQ+ individuals, seniors, youth, people with special needs, artists, and families across all ages and races. Centered in LA’s heart, our doors—and hearts—are open to anyone seeking acceptance, belonging, or a fresh start.
